Scholarship

Oak Tree Project provides scholarships to children’s home students who are attending college.  The scholarship is an incentive to students to focus on college education by providing living expenses and removing the burden of finances while studying.
Students are also paired with mentors.  Each mentor provides encouragement, support and guidance to the students during the students entire college career which results in establishing trusting relationships that last beyond the mentoring period.

Art Camp

The art camp is a creative program for 3rd to 6th grade girls during Korea’s academic winter break.  Each girl is paired with a volunteer who helps them make unique crafts over three days. The focused love and attention from our volunteers and staff have made lasting impressions on the girls. Many of the girls who attended the Art Camp later became students and graduates of our scholarship and mentoring program and in addition volunteer at the art camp as adults.

Basketball Camp

The basketball camp is for boys and girls in 7th to 12th grade during Korea’s academic winter break. Participating students learn basketball skills and teamwork. The basketball camp also has a one-to-one volunteers-student ratio so each participant receives focused love and attention.

축구 캠프

The soccer camp is for boys from 3rd to 6th grade from various children’s homes in Korea. Since  2008, this three-day camp is held in the summer where students participate in designated teams learning soccer skills. The goals of the camp are for the boys to experience joy, confidence, and unity. Many of the boys who attended the soccer camp later became students and graduates of Oak Tree Project and in addition volunteer at the soccer camp as adults.
